TOM MISCH CHRONICLES ARTISTIC AND PERSONAL JOURNEY ON SOPHOMORE RECORD ‘FULL CIRCLE’

Tom Misch is back!

The South London-based producer, multi-instrumentalist, and singer-songwriter first appeared in the music scene, where he debuted his EP with London-based artist Carmody Out To Sea in 2014. Misch later released a few beat tapes and collaborated with underground artists, fusing jazz, hip-hop, and R&B with rich, intricate samples that are soothing to the soul for the musically inclined.

Misch’s debut and breakthrough album Geography features an amalgamation of genres from hip-hop to electronica showcasing his range as an independent artist. Followed by his collaborative record with drummer Yussef Dayes, What Kinda Music.

Full Circleis a stripped down and personal record for the South London artist as he credits his family and friends who have shaped him as an artist over the last four years, capturing stories and moments. Kicking things off is “Flowers In Bloom.” The guitar chord-driven track signifies change and growth as an artist. Like any of Tom Misch’s work in Geographyhe lets the music breathe, which sets the mood and the vibe. It also symbolizes the spring season as the snow melts, temperatures slowly rise to single and mid-teens. The flowers grow, and the sun appears for a fresh start.

Red Moon” is the ultimate laid-back, chillout track anchored by Misch’s guitar chords, the bassline, and buttery vocals. It also features some jazz influence, making it a head-nodding track. It is also the perfect track to add to your playlist for a hangout with friends. “Slow Tonight” leans into neo-soul and R&B, with Misch’s smooth vocals and the sexy bass line designed for a cozy night in for a romantic evening.

Segue from romantic vibes to a personal track in “Sisters With Me.” The song details the familial bonds that make you want to peruse through family albums, looking at memories as they tell stories. The track is also for the families behind the talented individuals. It is anchored by Misch’s soft yet gentle vocals and harmonies that will make you shed a tear.

Old Man” is for the fathers and grandfathers who have shaped us into the person that we are. It is a tearjerker that is similar to “Sisters With Me.” The main star of the track is Misch’s vocals and the guitar solo that evokes emotion. “Echoes From The Flames” is the standout track on the record. The atmospheric bossa nova and jazz influence, accompanied by wonderful string and guitar arrangements, sets the mood like a phoenix rising out of the ashes.

Tom Misch’s Full Circlemay seem like a departure from his early work of hip-hop, R&B, soul, and jazz, but it hits differently. It’s a feeling that runs through you from all directions, from Misch’s smooth vocals and harmonies, guitar chords, and various genre influences that hit at different peaks as you groove and vibe to it. It is highly recommended and one of the best records of 2026.
