STEINZA'S ICONIC NIGHT AT THE TROUBADOUR
THE TROUBADOUR — LOS ANGELES, CA
This past Monday night, Steinza packed out the legendary Troubadour in Los Angeles. The show marked the third stop on his 23-date STEINZA WAS HERE! tour, showcasing his debut album that was released earlier this year.
Nashville-based Hudson Ingram opened the night, perfectly setting the tone for an intimate evening under the Troubadour’s iconic blue lights. His stripped-down set featured songs like "Baby Just Be", along with “Linger”—set to release this Friday—that prepped the crowd for Steinza’s arrival.
From the moment Steinza stepped under the lights, the crowd surged forward. Phones were raised with all eyes locked on the stage, eager for the music to begin. Despite minor technical difficulties that led to a mostly acoustic set, the energy in the room never faltered. If anything, it enhanced the experience. The admiration throughout the venue was unmistakable.
One of the most compelling aspects of the night was Steinza’s presence between songs. His witty, off-the-cuff banter had the audience laughing one moment, only to be followed by an immediate shift into gut-wrenching ballads like "bible bluff". That contrast created a powerful emotional juxtaposition that carried through the entire set.
The night unfolded through a thoughtfully curated setlist, featuring heart-wrenching ballads such as "Cabernet Serenade" and "Shivers". Before each song, Steinza offered brief insights into the stories behind them, allowing the audience to connect more deeply with the lyrics and their meaning.
The evening closed with a fan favorite, "The Former", which had been requested from the moment doors opened. The room transformed into a unified chorus, echoing every word back to the stage. Steinza stepped back, taking in the moment—a quiet acknowledgment of the connection he had built with the crowd. While the acoustic format wasn’t planned, it ultimately added a layer of intimacy that made the performance even more memorable.
There’s an undeniable magic to the Troubadour. It’s something you feel the second you walk through the doors. The history embedded in that stage is immense, and throughout the night, you could catch both Steinza and Ingram glancing up at the neon sign above them, taking it all in. As a member of the audience, it was incredibly special to witness those “I made it” moments in real time.
As if releasing a debut album and embarking on a headlining U.S. tour weren’t enough, Steinza is also set to support Matt Maeson on his upcoming European run. He shows no signs of slowing down—and it’s clear that audiences are ready to follow wherever he goes next.
