THE BROOK AND THE BLUFF BRING HOME THE MUSIC
BROOKLYN BOWL — NASHVILLE, TN
Following the release of their latest album, Werewolf, The Brook and The Bluff have hit the road to play these new songs for their dedicated fans. The new album continues the similar sound the band has consistently played with, leaning towards an indie and rock vibe. In the prime of their tour, the band made a stop in Nashville on March 26 at the Brooklyn Bowl for a “homeshow” stop. The band originates from Birmingham but calls the town of Nashville “home” since they reside here full-time now. The performance carried an added weight of familiarity and return.
The show started off with the first song off their new record, with the same name, “Werewolf.” Fans were quick to join in and sing along to the words.
The five-piece band displayed an energetic set full of old and new songs that got fans excited each time a new song began. Joseph Settine, the singer, made sure to showcase his dance moves throughout the show. Shaking his knees and hips while singing and playing guitar. He also managed to continue playing through songs despite the broken guitar string that kept moving around on his guitar. The carefully constructed harmonies of the band helped create a realistic take on all their recorded songs that made you feel like you were hearing it live from a studio.
The overall show production showcased well-designed stage decor to match the vibe of the new album. Their engagement was measured yet sincere, reflecting both their connection to Nashville and an understanding of the moment’s importance. The result was a shared experience that felt grounded and intentional. The lantern lights mixed with precise syncopated lights to match each song gave a well thought-out care to the stage that made you feel connected to the albums music and the bands energy.
Their tour continues through the spring into May to bring their new album sound all over the country. For more information about other dates, follow their Instagram or look at their site.
