THE LUCKY EFFECT TAKES A VICTORY LAP AT THE FIFTH ANNUAL FLOWER MOON FESTIVAL
THE CONSTELLATION ROOM @ THE OBSERVATORY — SANTA ANA, CA
One of Orange County’s musical gems comes in the form of alternative indie rock band, The Lucky Effect. This past weekend, the band hit the Constellation Room stage at The Observatory, performing as part of a heavyweight lineup for the fifth annual Flower Moon Festival presented by The Collective.
The band—composed of Moses Navarro and Ian East on guitar and vocals, Patrick East on bass, and Kaiawe Miyasato on the drums—secured their slot by winning Flower Moon’s final battle of the bands just two weeks prior. The Lucky Effect’s victory proved to be extremely well earned from the very first note played to the final bow, with the band having no trouble keeping their audience’s attention as they played to a packed room. Everyone was locked in, singing along, jumping, and throwing up peace signs at the band’s request, proving once again that their natural charm, musicianship, charisma, and infectious sound never fails to turn a crowd of strangers into fans. I’ve had the pleasure of watching them perform many times now, and they continue to level up with every performance.
With their debut EP on the way, The Lucky Effect is undoubtedly one to watch. Whether you’re a So-Cal local looking for your new favorite act, or an indie-lover looking for the next big thing, be sure to keep them firmly on your radar.
