FOR THE GIRLS: ALYSSAD SHINES IN A FUNDRAISING NIGHT FOR ALTADENA GIRLS

MOROCCAN LOUNGE - LOS ANGELES, CA

Last week, the Moroccan Lounge was painted pink as Pink Noise Productions presented For The Girls: an all female lineup charity show in support of Altadena Girls. The roster included Rey Solei, Selma Eriksen, and the ever-anticipated headliner — ALYSSAD.

Known for her haunting vocals and powerful stage presence, ALYSSAD has been making waves in the Los Angeles music scene, and this night proved to be one of her best. She appeared as a vision in pink and immediately jumped into a striking cover of "Fire of Love" that proved just how captivating she can be. In an instant, all eyes were locked in on the artist and the audience refused to look away in an effort to not miss a moment.

Sprinkled in between iconic covers such as "Lonely is the Muse" and "Decode", there was no shortage of ALYSSAD originals. She showcased songs such as "cool girl", a cathartic anthem that confronts the limitations and expectations that society has placed on women and girls. She of course included her debut single in the set, "puppetmaster", which is always a fan favorite.

Finally, the night came to a close with a powerful performance of her hit single, "Holy Ghost", along with a few unreleased tracks that left the crowd begging for more.

At just 21 years old, ALYSSAD has made it clear that she is here to stay. Unapologetically herself, she has curated her own unique sound and has broken the mold for up and coming female artists. This is just the beginning for her, and I can’t wait to see where her sound will take her.
