NIGHTBREAKERS ROCK THE BOWERY BALLROOM IN NYC
BOWERY BALLROOM — NEW YORK, NY
Nightbreakers is not your average opening band. With a wellspring of energy, infectious charisma, and effortless coolness, the band controls the crowds with ease. Fans packed out the iconic Bowery Ballroom from front to back early enough to see Nightbreakers set.
The five-piece Tampa-based pop/rock band has been touring around the U.S and Canada over the last month in support of Beauty School Dropout, ahead of the release of their debut album NOT LIKE WE USED TO, which drops on March 13, 2026. “We’ve been living in a van for three weeks, and it’s all worth it for moments like these,” frontman Zakk Giordano told the crowd.
Throughout the 40 minute set the band never took their foot off the gas. Opening with “Fake Smile,” a satisfyingly sugary alt-pop hit that sounds both nostalgic and current, the crowd was hyped. The moment the band really won even the last in the back of the room, was when they covered “Eenie Meenie” by Justin Bieber. The band played an unreleased one off their upcoming album, “Worth the Risk,” a darker and heavier sounding track than the rest of the set list. The final 3 track run of the night solidified for me and probably everyone watching that the band is on a fast track to headliner status. “Disaster”, “Attention”,and finally “Apartment”will be stuck in my head for no less than 3-4 business days. While this tour may only have a few stops left, Nightbreakers is only building momentum.
